Self Designs Art Gallery is Sacramento's newest, vibrant art gallery in Midtown, featuring locally talented and award-winning artists from different creative backgrounds from Sacramento and International musician .: s from around the globe.
As a non-conventional art gallery, we believe it is time for a change in the world of Art where the artist and art consumer can share a more connective experience with one another. Our unique gallery setting has a communal vibe conducive to personal growth and the positive environment allows various artists and art lovers to come together for inspiration, affirmation, relaxation, networking and local entertainment.
Each year we host Courtyard Concerts in the 1801 L street courtyard during the second Saturday of the months during Spring and Summertime. We also host a countless number of comedy, poetry and open-mic shows, live musical performances, fashion shows featuring new designers and live model demonstrations, weekly clarinet and flute lessons, structural and mixed media art classes, wine tasting Wednesdays, paint & sip private parties and festivals with local vendors in attendance to support small local businesses that are passionate about using art and music as a way to keep us connected and ensure the survival of Sacramento Arts & Musicians.
Our mission is to enhance Sacramento with the love of art and music to emotionally help us navigate the difficult times we have survived and also may experience as a community. Artists and Musicians are the heartbeat of our town! With the help and support of monthly events for our artists, we stive to open multiple locations in Sacramento and nationwide that will help local artists & musicians change the term from "starving artist" to "striving artist". At Self Designs Art Gallery, we wish to empower all forms of life to utilize their gifts, talents, time and energy to support themselves, and maintain a positive mindset with a quality of lifestyle we all deserve....,:
